On January 15, 2023, at 22:37:21 (local time), the Institute of Geosciences has located an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.7, located 4 km South-West of Klos, Dibër with a depth of 9 km. This main shock has been accompanied by several aftershocks with local extension magnitudes from the ML [1.0 - 3.9]. The main strike [ML4.7] is accompanied by 34 foreshocks. The frequency of events (Number of events per unit of time) averages 1 event every 4-5 minutes. The trend of aftershock magnitudes is downward. The Institute of Geosciences is constantly monitoring the situation and will keep updated on the seismic activity in the future.
