Dr. Dushi studied Physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences (1997-2002), Tirana University. During 2003-2007 he completed the Master studies (Post Graduate School) on Geosciences and Environment, Faculty of Geology and Mines, Polytechnic University of Tirana (Albania). He has received his PhD at the Polytechnic University of Tirana (2007-2012), in Seismology. During the period 2005-2015 he participated in various courses and trainings relevant to the field of expertise, distinguishing: (2005) International Training Course “Seismology, Seismic Data Analysis, Hazard Assessment & Risk Mitigation” GeoForschungsZentrum (GFZ), Potsdam, Germany; (2014) Training course on NDC capacity building “NDC waveform analysts training” CTBTO Preparatory Commission, VIC, Vienna, Austria; (2014); (2015) Training on “Earthquake Engineering and Disaster Management”, Istanbul, Turkey, Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD), Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA); (2019) NDC Waveform Training Course Using SeisComp3, CTBTO Preparatory Commission, VIC, Vienna, Austria.

Dr. Dushi has participated also in a series of trainings on Civil Emergency Response within the framework of the National Agency of Civil Protection (NACP), such as: (2014) Training on the Civil Emergency inter-institution national level exercise “Morava -14”. General Directorate of Civil Emergency, Ministry of Interior Affairs, Simulation Centre, Ministry of Defense; (2015) Training on Earthquake Scenario reaction within the Joint Reaction 2015 Regional Emergency Management Assistance Command Post Exercise/ computer assisted exercise. United States-Adriatic Charter Initiative (A5).

Dr. Dushi has been contributing for 20 years as a Researcher on Seismology at the Department of Seismology (IGEO), engaged in seismic instrumentation and earthquake seismology, seismic data management and processing, focal mechanism and stress field analysis, structure attenuation and radiated seismic energy. He has also contributed in applied seismology, involved in seismic microzoning and seismic site characterization and seismic hazard. Dr. Dushi was Head of the Department of Seismic Network of ex-Institute of Seismology, Albanian Academy of Sciences, during the period 2004-2005. He is nominated Deputy Director of Institute of Geosciences (IGEO) of Polytechnic University of Tirana (PUT), from 2021 onwards.

Dr. Dushi is the Principal Point of Contact (PPOC) authority, representing the Albanian National Data Center (NDC-AL), at the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization is an international organization (CTBTO), since 2012, as well as the actual Albanian National Point of Contact of International Association of Seismology and Physics of the Earth's Interior (IASPEI). Dr. Dushi has a long academic and teaching career at Polytechnic University of Tirana in the subjects of Experimental Physics, Seismology and Applied Geophysics.
